Our Story
Meet Luna — the dog behind the bowl
Hey, I’m Luna!
I’m 8 years old, obsessed with food (I know the sound of a prosciutto package being opened), and currently living my best bougie life thanks to what’s in my bowl. (Thanks, Mom!)
But it wasn’t always this way.
In 2020, we moved from the U.S. to Germany & finding a good dog food there? Yikes. Mom and Dad weren’t impressed with the options, and honestly, neither was I. A few months into settling in, Dad had to leave for work. So it was just me and Mom.
Day one of us flying solo, she gave me a new kind of dry food. I reluctantly ate it…and paid for it all night. Stomach ache, gas (don’t tell anyone…I’m a classy girl), the works. We both knew something wasn’t right.
The next day, Mom said “nope” to the dry food and made me a real meal: roasted pork loin (the German good stuff), green beans, and brown rice. I said YESSS.
But here’s the thing:
Mom is a trained chef & a registered dietitian for hoomans. So she didn’t stop at “yummy.” She wanted to be sure I was getting everything I needed, not just a pretty plate.
She researched everything:
How much protein, grain, veggies, and fat I actually need
Which vitamins and minerals matter daily
What ingredients help dogs thrive long-term
She built a whole system to calculate my macros & micros…and just like that, meal prepping became our thing.
Now? I eat like royalty, feel amazing, have a super soft and shiny coat, and plenty of energy for hikes, snuggles, and adventures across Europe, Australia, or wherever we’re stationed next.
Everything inside Luna’s Bowl is exactly what my mom feeds me. It’s real food, thoughtfully portioned, and designed so pups like me (and your dog too!) can live their healthiest, happiest, tail-waggin’ life.

Hi, I’m Celestina!
Luna’s mom, a trained chef, and a registered dietitian who believes feeding your dog should feel simple, empowering, and doable in real life.
Luna and I have lived all over the world thanks to my husband’s job, and with every move, one thing stayed constant: I wanted Luna to have food that helped her thrive... not just get by. That wasn’t always easy. In Germany, the kibble options were limited, and one bag left her sick, uncomfortable, and not herself. So I did what I knew how to do... I went back to real food.
With my background in culinary arts and nutrition, I started building balanced meals for Luna... not just tasty, but truly nourishing. I calculated her macros, understood her micronutrient needs, tested ingredients, and refined a system that made DIY fresh feeding intuitive, repeatable, and realistic for busy dog parents.
That system is now Luna’s Bowl.
I created this space for dog parents who want better for their pups but feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice, expensive subscriptions, or complicated homemade recipes. Luna’s Bowl is here to cut through the noise and give you clear, confidence-building tools... simple portions, real ingredients, and nutrition that actually makes sense.
